Stitchery Square closing

A local-to-me needlework shop is closing. Stitchery Square in Camden, ME, will be closing its doors on Saturday, June 21. According to their web site, they will still offer their fine needlework finishing services.

The clearance sale started in March, but they still have plenty of inventory for embroiderers, cross-stitchers, knitters, and beaders. The discounts are deep! I picked up 35 cross-stitch patterns and beading pliers for a total of $16.73, including tax.

While good for my pocketbook, I’m distressed to be losing yet another local, independent craft shop. This economy is taking its toll on many independent businessmen, although this closing is for personal reasons, as I understand it.

Very useful. Did a random search on Google for cross stitch and found this post. Glad I did. :-)
